In Swahili, Tiba Bila Dawa means “Treatment without Medication.” It is more than just a name; it is a mission, a philosophy, and a movement that is changing lives in some of the most underserved communities in Kenya.
Founded on 29th February 2020 by Dr. Hamisi, the foundation was born out of a profound moment in Samburu. On a day of personal celebration, his leap-year birthday, his daughter’s 6-month milestone, and his grandmother’s 90th, Dr. Hamisi treated a young boy named Prince who was battling severe nasal congestion and pneumonia-like symptoms. Using Fascia Manipulation®, a non-invasive therapy, he was able to bring relief without a single pill. That act of compassion became the seed that grew into Tiba Bila Dawa.
The mission of the foundation is simple yet powerful: to deliver life-changing healthcare to those who lack access to modern medical facilities, using safe, effective, and medication-free treatments.
Since its founding, the foundation has extended its work across Mathare, Majengo, Thika, Nanyuki, and remote villages in Samburu. Through free mobility clinics, we have helped the elderly regain mobility and independence, children with disabilities move without pain, accident victims find relief and renewed strength, and survivors of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), early marriage, and teenage pregnancy rebuild their lives.
Beyond healthcare, Tiba Bila Dawa is deeply committed to empowerment. The Namunyak Women Group provides a safe haven for 21 teen mothers and 33 children, offering education, skills training, and the chance to create a better future.
What began as one act of compassion in a Maasai village has grown into a nationwide mission. Tiba Bila Dawa continues to prove that healing is not always found in medicine, but in the care, connection, and commitment we extend to one another.
